Traceability

Data sources

Every result should be traceable to its origin and freshness.

IGN geocoding

The Géoplateforme run by France’s National Institute of Geographic and Forest Information (IGN) is used to turn a French address into coordinates.

Accuracy depends on the address data available. Geocoding locates the search; it provides no information about a fire or a building’s condition.

Detections and perimeters

The architecture supports NASA FIRMS thermal detections and perimeters published by EFFIS or Copernicus EMS. Each result identifies the connectors that are actually active; a planned but disconnected source supplies no data.

A satellite detection may be delayed, obscured by clouds or caused by another heat source. A perimeter maps an observed or estimated area at a given date, not necessarily damage to each property.

Official instructions

Evacuation orders must link to an identifiable publication by a prefecture, municipality or other competent authority. They may also be entered manually by an administrator from that publication.

FR-Alert can only be used if public, structured and verifiable data is available. FeuChezMoi does not reconstruct or assume an instruction that is not present.

Dates and availability

The publication or observation date comes from the source. The retrieval date says when FeuChezMoi obtained the data. The gap helps users judge freshness.

An unavailable, failing or unconfigured source is identified. No replacement data is invented, and the source link shown with the result remains the reference to consult.
