Search should work with the minimum amount of personal data.
Address searches
The address is sent to the FeuChezMoi server and then to the IGN address-location service to perform the requested check. It is not placed in the URL or stored in the wildfire database.
The result is kept only in browser memory during the session. Reloading may erase it. Technical logs are designed not to include the request body containing the address.
Indexing and analytics
Result pages carry a “noindex, follow” directive and are excluded from the sitemap. A full address must never be sent to an analytics service, including in a URL, page title, event or custom property.
FeuChezMoi uses Google Analytics 4 (tag G-C8ERLTCEYS) on every page, alongside an aggregated internal counter. Only a normalized path without parameters and the generic “FeuChezMoi” title are sent; the searched address is never sent. Google Signals, personalized advertising, advertising identifiers and the referrer are disabled.
Cookies and technical data
A cookie may remember the French or English language choice. Google Analytics may set audience-measurement cookies, limited to thirteen months and not extended on each visit. The publisher applies the audience-measurement consent exemption to this configuration, so no banner is displayed. When the connection permits, the browser requests the required OpenStreetMap tiles; this may transmit the IP address, origin domain and an approximate geographic area, but never the address entered.
Technical server logs are subject to 14 daily rotations and are then deleted, unless security needs, a legal obligation or an incident requires them to be kept longer on an exceptional basis. The data controller is Benjamin Polge.
